Meet Buddy! This handsome fella is about 3 years old and a stocky 60 pounds. He is a sweet and calm dude that has a playful side, especially with other dogs. Buddy loves kids -he is fostered with two boys and dogs of all sizes. Buddy is friendly and happy and has the cutest little nubby tail that wags all the time! He is a very high rottie mix so he's basically like a dog-teddy bear :) Buddy has better than average manners, probably because he isn't a puppy - haha! He's the kind of dog you can load up in the car, take to your kid's sports games, or the dog park, or hiking. He is on the quiet side - we haven't heard him bark yet, but we are sure there is a big bark in there somewhere if he needs it! That said, he's a relaxed and friendly guy so he'd be a protector in looks only - he is much more of a greeter!
Buddy is an all around great dog and would love to be your best friend! Be sure to check out his video goofing around in our back yard and once your application is on file with our rescue, we can set up a facetime date or a meet!
This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! CPR will be at PetSmart in Plainville all weekend to participate in their National Adoption Weekend. Friday, November 9th we will be there from 2pm - 6pm. Saturday November 10th, from 10am - 2pm and Sunday November 11th from 10am - 1pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from SUNDAY'S event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!
The adoption fee is $425 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested positive for heartworms and has been treated in our care.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
