Ben's Story...

AARF only adopts in the Richmond, Virginia and surrounding area.. Hi! I'm Ben! I live with my brother Chester at my foster mom's house. I am a Lab/Terrier mix and will probably get to be around 55lbs like our mama. We are the last of a litter of 10. I am a happy boy; playful, cuddly and talkative. I love to follow you wherever you go. You'll love my whiskers and my white chest. Won't you allow me to be your forever friend?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ben, a Richmond Schnauzer (Giant)/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Giant)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Schnauzer (Giant)/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Giant)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Schnauzer (Giant)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
