Taylor's Story...
Taylor is a bit tentative at first experiences. She warms up quickly by the second time and does a cute thing with her head back and looks like she is laughing. She is only about 1 year old, so still a puppy. She is very sweet and motivated by food, which makes her an easy dog to train. Taylor is an energetic outgoing girl who loves to run and play. She can however scale a four foot fence so good fencing is a must. She weighs about 37 pounds right now. If you would like to apply to adopt this pet please visit www.powellPAWS.org to review our adoption requirements and submit an application. Submitting an application does not guarantee or hold a dog, or commit you to the adoption process. All PAWS dogs are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment. We reserve the right to deny an application for any reason without explanation.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taylor, a Powell Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Powell, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Powell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Powell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Powell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Powell paves the way for another one to be saved.
