Sophie's Story...
Sophie(aka Bertha) is one of three Rottweilers a friend has been trying to save at a L.A. shelter. The beautiful boy was already euthanized so now there are only two females left.
Sophie is very pretty and sweet..but also very sad..77lb. female Rottweiler. The shelter has her at 9 yrs. but I don't see much gray and think she is more like 6-7. She most likely spent the last few months on the street...clearly has not had an easy life. She has this deep love and yearning in her eyes. But the depths of her sadness is so evident and is heartbreaking not to be able to make it okay. She knows things without telling her. If you want to help save this girl's life please contact Alicia at 310-266-0458 IMMEDIATELY. Her e-mail is aesken@earthlink.netwith

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Santa Barbara Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Santa Barbara, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Santa Barbara.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Barbara already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Barbara breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Barbara paves the way for another one to be saved.
