My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A note from Bear's trainer.
Bear is a lean, fit, Boxer/Terrier/Pointer mix rescued from a high kill facility that had him scheduled for euthanasia. He is a very sweet and people oriented dog. Nice, soul-filled eyes. He is crate trained and simply considers it "his private pad!". No fussing or whining! Bear has had a strong foundation of basic obedience training instilled in him by professional trainers. Since he loves to please, he takes the obedience as "spending time with you", rather than "working"! very stable, calm, compliant and low maintenance when pertaining to "terrier tenacity traits!". Bear knows heel, sit, down, down-stay, sit-stay, come, off and "aus" (to release an object or to stop doing whatever you are doing), onlead. He knows hand, leash and voice commands and works willingly. His off-leash "comes" are awesome, ending w/a beautiful, perfect sit in front! Loves playing ball! Staff at the kennel have had no problem w/food or water bowl aggression. I feel he could be placed in a family w/ well mannered kids, female dogs, based on his demeanour. Whoever adopts Bear will also be entitled to free group and/or private classes at Morgan's Dogs...for the life of the dog, as he has gone thru our 2 week course. They will also have the option to board w/us as we only board dogs that have gone thru our course. Bear would make a sweet addition to any family.

Bear also lived with a cat in his previous home so he should be able to go to a home with cats. :)
