My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! I am a new arrival from a new laboratory that has taken the leap of faith and decided to try to release their research beagles for adoption through CBR-East! :) I am a great little beagle, and honestly, despite living my 1 year of life in a laboratory, I was never used for any studies! I have a heart murmur which disqualifies me for studies, but doesn't affect me at all from being a housepet! :) To learn more about heart murmurs, click here. Basically, I have a Grade I (out of VI) heart murmur which is really fairly innocuous. I shouldn't need any medication, either - just some monitoring of the heart murmur. All my bloodwork and exams check out great otherwise! :)



I am still trying to take in this strange place called the "real world." I always have this worried look on my face, and my wrinkly face and long ears make me irresistible! I am SO sweet and gentle - love to be held and cuddled in your arms. I haven't yet barked (but give me time...), and I am keeping my crate dry. I will need someone to be patient and help me with my housetraining. I am still learning how to go up and down the stairs and run in the backyard! I am intrigued by my foster brothers and sisters and can't wait to learn more about these things they do called "wrestle" and "play." I will make an amazing pet for the right adopter willing to be patient with me and teach me how wonderful the world really is.
