My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

6/5/08 Lady was adopted by a wonderful family.
5/25/09 Lady attended the Memorial Day Parade, we tried to explain the value of the event but she was most interested in the kids there!!, she walked up to people for them to pet her and layed down beside one boy inching her way onto his blanket and even kissed the little ones. She has been playing with balls, stuffies and romping with the other dogs. You won't be disappointed in this girl. She may be middle age but still has lots of love and life in her to give you.
5/20/09 Here are new pics of Lady. She is a happy, gentle, loving girl. You will just enjoy every thing about her. Her attentiveness, obediences, manners, and coexistence with dogs and men/women/children will captivate you. Some people tell me that they see a little basset in her.
5/13/09 Lady will let you love her as much as you can and want to. You can enjoy her gentle loving manner. You can teach her tricks. You can take her with you where ever you go. You can enjoy her winking at you, yep, she does. And you can walk, talk, nap, visit your friends, with her. Maybe she is your typical beagle, but she is getting the idea that she is very special and will reward you big time just with one look from her mild eyes or her paw on your hand. She is one dog that aims to please. email for an application to adopt her.
5/7/09 Lady has claimed her favorite sleeping spot and is housebroken, she lets me know when she has to go outside. She has a nose for food and is learning to get snacks when only her name is called and when I call the other dogs name that means it is not for her. Her latest word learned is "mine". She is very smart.
5/06/09 Lady is ready for her forever home. Such a good girl. She now knows shake paw, down position, leave it, and is very smart. I wouldn't be surprised if she passed the therapy dog test. She listens well, great on leash, weights 24.7#'s. A seabaceous cyst on her neck was removed and nothing to worry about. Lady is now on Advantix flea prevention. She seems to know just what you require of her.
Lady Candy is about 5-10 yrs old. She is Super Friendly, Quiet, and Gentle. She loves to lift herself up so she can see what is going on better but is not a jumper. She is inquisitive. Lady already knew, sit, stay, come, wait, off, down. She is learning to shake paw and to turn around and can hold a look.
She sits to get her food/snacks/leash/harness on and waits to exit a door after me. She loves to put her paw on my lap. Lady loves to be talked to and will follow you around. Her walks are calm, she does like to stop a while and smell the air. I haven't tested her with kids or other dogs yet, Further info on this will come after her vetting appt. on the 15th. but it wouldn't surprise me if she was friendly with them. She loves everyone she has met here so far. Her vet appt. this week is for utd shots and to schedule her spay before she will be adopted out. Look for more updates.

4/15/09 Lady Candy is HW neg, worm free, received her rabies, bordatella, and boosters today. She is being scheduled for a spay. She was sooo good on the ride over to the vets and at the vets she met dogs, cats and people. We gave her an A+ and a snack for her friendly good temperament. The vet thinks she is 5 yrs old. Her teeth are good. My guess of 10 yrs old was determined by her whiting face and her calm manner. I can't believe someone isn't missing this well behaved beautiful gal. But after 17 days at the kennel we brought her here. She would be good for a first time dog owner, experienced or anyone in between.
4/16/09 Lady's spay is scheduled for May 4th. She enjoyed soaking in the sun today and received much welcomed belly rubs. She received her inteceptor heart worm meds today as well.
