Mickey D's Story...
I'm Mickey D a male domestic long hair mix. I was born around 1/08. I'm neutered, up to date on shots, FIV/FeLV negative. I get along with other cats and dogs. Bet you can't guess how I got my name. A lady who works at the vet clinic drove into Mickey D's to get some food and instead of leaving with food she left with me. Everyone tells me I'm so sweet so I don't understand how I ended up homeless. Oh, well that's life so now I'm looking for my new forever home to love me the rest of my life. If you are interested in Mickey D please contact the vet clinic where he is staying, Park Forest Animal Hospital at 225-275-2284. Please ASK FOR CANDICE.

Do Not contact CAAWS about him as this is a courtesy listing for the vet clinic and they will be handling his adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mickey D, a Baton Rouge Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
