Butchie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Butchie's Story...
Sweet little Butchie. Poor guy. He is 8 years old and his owner died leaving him homeless. He's a sweetheart. He loves to play and has a good temperament. He has never been around cats but is good with kids and other dogs. He weighs 12 lbs. Butchie just wants someone to love for life. He's a healthy boy - neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Give Butchie the home of his dreams. Adoption fee: $75.

Adoption Process:
Send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week trial run with the pet as part of your family. This is a trial period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the trial time and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butchie, a Troy Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Troy, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
