Star's Info...

I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Star's Story...
"Fun", and lots of it, is Star's motto. This little sweetie needs an adopter who understands the JRT breed and all that goes along with it. Star has the energy level and intelligence that Jack Russells are famous for. Star would be a "Star Pupil" in obedience classes, and we think she'd even be great at agility. Star gets along beautifully with other dogs, even big dogs. We think she'd love to have another JRT, or equally energetic dog, in her forever home to play with. Star would also make a great running buddy for someone. This adorable pooch is right at a year old and is full-grown at just 12 lbs. We've listed Star as a JRT mix, only because we don't know for sure whether or not she is pure-bred, but she very well may be. (Star was rescued from a local animal shelter.) She is in excellent health. Star is spayed, current on shots, micro-chipped, heartworm-negative and is on monthly heartworm preventative. Our $175 adoption fee helps offset Star's vet visit. A sedentary, couch potato she's not, but if you enjoy an active life and are looking for a dog who can keep up the pace with you, Star might just be your girl. If so, we invite you to submit an adoption application form today:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Star, a Carrollton Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
