Hi! My name is Amelia. I’m a beautiful young girl who has had a rough start to life. See the first 5 years of my life I lived in a puppy mill. I lived in a cage and was only used for breeding. I didn’t even have a name, just a number tattooed in my ear. But now I’m living the life! I’m actually learning what it’s like to be a spoiled bullie! I’m your typically sized female bull, about 56 pounds, but I could stand to put a few more pounds on. My shots are all up to date and I’m just waiting on my spay – you’ve never seen a dog so excited about a spay! I am also microchipped .
You see, when I lived at the puppy mill, they didn’t take the best care of me. I have a few health problems, but nothing major. Typical bullie issues. Ear infection, eye infection, and interdigital cysts between my toes. I’m taking all my medication to clear them up and I’m starting to feel better already.
I’ve got to tell you, I am really enjoying life as a bulldog. Boy, oh, boy it is fun!!! I just love being around my foster family. I really like my foster brother too! I like to chase him around and give him kisses! I don’t quite know how to play with toys yet, but I’m ready to learn. I really love when my foster family scratches behind my ears or gives me a good belly rub!
I’m working on my potty training. I’m slowly learning and still very cautious of the outdoors. I’m also working on leash training. I’m still somewhat afraid of my leash but I’m slowly getting used to the idea. I hope you will work with me. I would love a training class! Let’s get started!
I’m slowly eating more and more each day. My teeth aren’t in the greatest shape so it’s hard for me to chew dog food. My foster family softens it up with some yogurt and soft dog food. Boy does that taste good! I’m sleeping well through the night. I get along with dogs just fine. I like to lick them actually. Yum! I promise I won’t hurt! I would do well with children over the age of 10. Cats, not so sure.
Love,
Amelia
