found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Arrival story: We got Levi just in the nick of time! He was on the euthanization list at a rural shelter because he was heartworm positive. He is undergoing treatment and will be healthy and ready for adoption shortly after he is neutered on 4-24-09.
Approximate age / weight: 2 years old and 80lbs
Personality: Levi is not in a foster home yet. He is being kenneled, and one of our volunteers visits Levi regularly while he awaits a foster or forever home. The volunteer and kennel staff all agree that Levi is the perfect Lab! He is absolutely stunning to look at, and he is so good natured and easy going. Levi is currently being treated for an ear infection and the staff at the kennel say that he is such a good boy because he patiently sits while they clean his ears. Levi will sit and wait while we put his leash and collar on. He knows sit and shake.
Levi is treat motivated and would make an excellent student in obedience training. The volunteer tending to Levi thinks he will be easy to train on leash walking once he is out of the kennel (which uses flexi-leads). On a regular leash, he pulls at first but settles down once he figures out he is not on a flexi-lead.
Levi played nicely with a German Shepherd at the kennel, and we suspect he is probably good with other dogs. We do not know about cats yet.
Forever home:Levi’s easy going temperament makes him likely to fit in many situations.
