Mama Summer's Story...
My name is Mama Summer

Mama to 2 year old babies, August (M - White), Ash (F - White) and Sabrina (F - Tuxedo)

Summer was found under a house across the street from ours, so we've had her kittens since they were less than 2 weeks old. They are very loving and playful, but can be too aggressively playful with other cats, and are timid and shy when meeting people for the first time. Summer would do best on her own, as she is a little tired of playing Mama and not having her alone time. She can be a little snappy at times, so an experienced cat owner would be preferred. This family needs to be viewed by appointment at our foster home, as they do not show well in a cage. All are litter trained, have been neutered/spayed and are current on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mama Summer, a Houston Abyssinian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Abyssinian for sale in Houston, or seeking a Abyssinian cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Abyssinian breeders who help with Abyssinian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
