Dora's Story...
Dora is a beautiful, friendly, cuddly, extremely affectionate and active four-month-old, 20-pound Shar Pei/Beagle-mix puppy looking for a loving home. Dora is absolutely adorable and gives lots of kisses and tail wags. Dora likes to sleep in bed with her foster family and like a typical puppy chews their shoe laces, and pens while they are not looking. Dora is working on her housetaining and would be best in a home where someone has time to exercise her and train her. A fenced-in-yard would be a bonus. Dora is great with other dogs and cats, is very healthy, spayed, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee of $300 goes towards the rescued dogs of the We Luv Paws Rescue group. To meet and possibly adopt Dora, please contact Carol at weluvpawsilrescue@yahoo.com so she can forward an adoption application. Because this rescue group likes to do home visits, you must live within a three-hour drive of Chicago to adopt Dora. Because of Dora's energy level and lack of training, she would be best with children over the age of four.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dora, a Chicago Shar Pei/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Beagle for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Shar Pei/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Beagle breeders who help with Shar Pei/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
