Howdy! My name is Luther. I am a 3 year old full of love and energy. My story goes like this: I belonged to a older gentleman that adored me. He could no longer give me the life I deserve so Companion Pet Rescue stepped up and now I'm in foster care. I'm great with children, dogs, and humans. I previously lived with laid back cats. I am already crate and house trained...bonus!!! I would love to live with an active family where my Australian Shepard mix self will get plenty of exercise like hikes and runs. My foster mom says I am very inquisitive and smart. I also love to have my long flowing coat brushed. I would love another dog to play with! Also I’m active and would need daily exercise. This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! CPR will be at Petland Discounts in Southbury on Friday, November 23rd from 2pm - 6pm. On Saturday November 24th CPR will be at PetSmart in Plainville, from 10am - 2pm. On Sunday November 25th CPR will be at Cleaner Tails located at 32 Stony Hill Rd in Bethel from 10am - 1pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from SUNDAY'S event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!
The adoption fee is $425 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested positive for heartworms and has been treated in our care.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
