Tess's Story...
Tess is a 4-5 year old female tortoiseshell kitty from north campus who needs an indoor-only home. She is not tame or friendly so needs someone who is willing to share their home with her but who does not mind having a little "shadow" in the house. She is content to sit in a patch of sunlight during the day, but is otherwise hardly noticable as a housemate. Tess would do best in a home without dogs or young children, and without aggressive cats. Her foster is eager to find her a permanent home so that her room can be used to house other kitties waiting for homes!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tess, a Wakinsville Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Wakinsville, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Wakinsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakinsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakinsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakinsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
