found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Mercedes was diagnosed with juvenile cataracts on 5/20/2009 and is being scheduled for surgery to have those removed. Once she is recovered we will be ready to place her in her new home. We prefer placement with a home in San Diego to follow up with the eye surgeon following her surgery.
Mercedes is a small 13 pound package of playful nonstop action. Like a streak in motion this girl loves having another high energy dog who will play non-stop with her. Mercedes family had to move out of country and they could not take her with them. Having just turned two years old she needs much work on her basic obediance skills and her housetraining is at about 80percent now. She is using a doggy door with fair success and we are impressed that she is a quick learner since she had no training at all when she came to us. Mercedes needs work on learning to eat slowly and to listen and respond to commands. She has spent much of her time crated at her first home, and seems to have 18 months of energy she needs to burn off. But she is quickly picking up the idea that she needs to calm down and respond if she wants a treat. Mercedes seems to ignore the cat in the foster home she is in so if your cat is not one which is highly reactive to dogs she will fit in nicely. We just had Mercedes spayed and all her vaccines, fecal and heartworm completed and she is ready to find a home that is committed to helping her learn to be a big girl. It will be best to crate Mercedes if you must leave the house as she is still very puppy like and will chew household items if not crated. She loves her crate and this is not a problem for periods 4 hours or shorter.
