Cricket's Story...
Panda and Cricket are two loveable, wonderful, front declawed and spayed female cats. They are 1-2 years old and have lived with dogs, cats and kids. They're loving lapcats who enjoy cuddling. Panda and Cricket are litterbox trained. They are sisters who have never been apart. They enjoy sleeping in bed with you and Cricket is especially affectionate - a true lapcat. Panda is black and white and Cricket is a brown tabby and white. She's very unique. They both love to lounge on the bed or on top of the couch. And their favorite toy is the laser pointer. Adoption fee: $80 the pair.

Cricket just loves people and wants to be around them as much as she possibly can. She is very affectionate, but other than that she loves to lounge on the couch. Her favorite things are cuddling, sun bathing, being held like a baby and laying around with her sister Panda cat. She is more of a laid back cat. Panda is very friendly and a couch potato. She loves cuddling with humans and her sister Cricket.

Adoption Process:
Send an email to to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week trial run with the pet as part of your family. This is a trial period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the trial time and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cricket, a Troy Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Troy, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
