My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Did you ever want your very own speckled pup? Well Lucky Holly is just the ticket. This bundle of happiness and play is a sweetheart. She loves everyone and every thing. She is fostered with other dogs and loves all dogs. She even loves the ol' curmudgeon cat, but he wants nothing to do with her. Since being in her foster home, she has (mostly) mastered ringing the bells on the back door knob to go out and go potty. She is very smart and quick to learn.

Lucky Holly really is a lucky pup. She was dumped out of a car onto a busy highway in Jackson TN. A good Samaritan saw it happen and stopped traffic both ways in rush hour traffic to snag her and make her safe. She was very thin and frightened. Thanks to this great guy, she is now a wonderful, happy, playful little pup. She doesn’t even remember her past.

Holly is around 4 or 5 months old and weighs around 30lbs. She gets along fine with all dogs and cats and kids. Kids may need to be sturdy because she hasn’t mastered the down command (but she’s working on it). She is full of enthusiasm and love. She is crazy about chewies, sticks, squeaky toys, soft stuffed toys and balls. She loves to play and is a medium energy level gal. She loves to run and believes she is very very fast! Her only problem is that sometimes her back legs run faster than her front legs…it’s a belly laugh moment  . If you would like to fill out an application to adopt this sweetie, go to cprdogs.com.

This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! CPR will be at PetSmart in Plainville all three days for the National Adoption Weekend. Starting on Friday the 22nd from 2pm-6pm, then on Saturday the 23rd from 10am-2pm and lastly on Sunday the 25th from 10am-1pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from SUNDAY'S event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee.

If you are an MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
