George's Story...
Hi there! My registered name is King, but my current mommy calls me George! Because I am a loveable and cuddly Pomeranian! I am a bit long in the tooth, 9 1/2 years old, but I am so sweet. I love to sit on your lap and be scratched and stroked! I have a little problem with using the bathroom in the house, so I need someone who has some time to train me and take me outside a lot until I learn the ropes. I am very small, only 6 pounds, and I don't have any teeth. So I have to eat softer dog food, although I can manage some crunchy goodies sometimes. My mom and dad work a lot and go out of town occasionally, so they don't have the time I really need with them. I would love to live with someone who is perhaps older, retired and has time to take walks with me, and sit with me in her lap. I am a bit afraid of men, so a nice lady would be GREAT. I am not neutered and was used to breed other sweet purebred Poms like myself! Is there someone out there who would love me? If you would like to meet me, please call my mom, Julie Hines, at 318-797-4918 or 318-464-2945.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Haughton Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Haughton, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Haughton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Haughton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Haughton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Haughton paves the way for another one to be saved.
