Mosely's Story...
Mo is a 25+ year old, 15 hand sorrel gelding found abandoned on Mosely Drive in Ashland TN. He was severely emaciated and had obviously been neglected. Despite his mistreatment, Mosely is super sweet & very kind. We believe he is a Standardbred. Due to his teeth being mostly missing in the back, he has to eat senior food. This is the only special requirement he has, he is very easy to keep. He is great with children and has loves being trail ridden. He likes to be kept outside and prefers just a run in shelter. He is fine on the pasture. This is a great loving horse who deserves a happy home and a family of his own to love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mosely, a Old Fort Standardbred was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standardbred for sale in Old Fort, or seeking a Standardbred from a breeder in Old Fort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Fort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Fort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standardbred breeders who help with Standardbred rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Fort paves the way for another one to be saved.
