Marjorie's Story...
Marjorie is a beautiful black Labrador Retriever and Rottweiler mix, who loves the company of both people and other dogs. She is about 6 years old and about 75 lbs. She is very mellow and gentle. Marjorie is a great indoor dog, happy alone during the day but loves long walks in the evening and hikes by the bay on the weekend. She never strays when off leash, and is close by your side. She is at her best in an adult only home, fine with another dog or alone. Marjorie was neglected for a long time, and had a bladder infection that was chronic. She is fine now, but may need some follow up care, and your special attention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marjorie, a Berkeley Rottweiler/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Rottweiler/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Rottweiler/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
