Sugar's Story...
Born in April 2009

Finn and Sugar are two very lucky kittens. They were found abandoned at Naples Botanical Gardens off Bayshore Drive at the tender age of just a few weeks old. No mom to feed them. No shelter. No nothing. And had they been found even a day later, there's a good chance these little cuties wouldn't have survived.
But they were found in time and brought to VSA (kitten rescue). The two babies were bottled-fed and now starting eating yummy kitten food. They are learning how to play with each other and they are the best of friends. Both Finn and Sugar are well on their way to becoming the perfect companion animals to any family. They would love to stay together. Maybe they could make their forever home in your home? Come see me at PetsMart Naples.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Naples Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Naples, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Naples.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naples already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naples breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naples paves the way for another one to be saved.
