Fritz's Story...
The folks at the shelter where I originally went to as a stray told the folks at Friends of Homeless Animals, “This is an absolutely super dog!” And just to think, I didn’t even have to ask them to say that! They came up with that one all on their own. I’m a great guy, a perfect family pet, and just an absolute love. I’m super friendly. I came into the shelter as a stray, but I am well-socialized, well-mannered, and, well, super! I’m easygoing and relaxed. I’m a cool dude with other dogs and even with cats. I’m friendly to children – see, they said I’d make a great family dog. I didn’t even have to hint at that one to them, either. Wow, I think that these rescue folks can read my mind. Either that or they know a good dog when they see one. Maybe a combination of the two? Speaking of combination, though, know what would make a great one? No, not the daily special with an egg roll. (Although I do like treats. And perhaps you can teach me how to roll over.) But I think that a REALLY great combination would be you and me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fritz, a Aldie Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Foxhound for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Foxhound dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Foxhound breeders who help with Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
