Elvis's Story...
5/16/09- Say hello to Elvis. Poor Elvis was thrown out of a car and a good samaritan saw this and brought him to us. Elvis is a very sweet boy who just wants a home. Unfortunately Elvis has tested positive for heartworms so he needs a foster or forever home to undergo treatment. Elvis is staying a vet's office so he desperately needs a place to go. Please call Joan at 870-739-1145 or Allison at 901-240-9848 if you have any questions about him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elvis, a Marion Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Marion, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
