found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.
NOTE FROM GARTH'S FOSTER HOME: "Garth is AMAZING and deserves to have a very loving and committed home of his own! He is so friendly and so very sweet! He had a VERY hard start in life- but despite that he loves people and other cats so much! He is a really neat feline-- and very special. He had a broken leg that healed on its own while he was a stray. The veterinarian confirmed that there was no need for surgery. It is his back leg and he does drag it just a bit- but it causes him no pain at all. He is such a sweet cat- he loves to be kissed on the head, he loves to be petted, and to snuggle...and Garth just loves to be with loving people! He will do best in a calm home with no dogs (or very calm dogs are okay- he has a calm dog in his foster home here and does well...). He's an adorable guy- and very loveable!"
Hi there- I'm GARTH! If you're searching for a lovable feline who is as cute and snuggly as a teddy bear-- I'm your cat! I am neutered, up to date on shots, treated for the prevention of fleas, worms and ear mites and I have tested negative for both FIV and Feline Leukemia. I am housetrained/litterbox trained -- and did I mention totally lovable? I get along well with those who are kind to me. Because of my VERY tough past (extreme abuse), I prefer a home with no children under age 5- because it does scare me when I am chased. I would do best in a calm home where I can have lots of love and attention!
I am laid back, relaxed, outgoing and I just love to be around people and living the comfortable indoor life!
I am approximately 6 years old (as of 2010). I love to sit on your lap, to lay on my back with my arms up in the air, to snuggle, to be brushed and petted and I just love attention! I love to snuggle too!!!
To tell you a little bit about my past-- it sure hasn't been easy! When I was a young boy, I was owned and I loved my indoor life with my family. I guess my family moved and decided they would leave me behind- I never understood why? I was always very good and very loving- but they just left me all alone out on the streets. So there I was, outdoors and trying to survive all alone. It was scary and I was lonely and very hungry. I hung out at an apartment complex hoping to find a new family or at least some food to fill my belly. Years passed by as I dodged cars, I was shot at, kicked, rocks were thrown at me-- and I had to jump into dumpsters to find my next meal. (When I was rescued they found MANY b-b's still inside of my body-Ouch! -- thankfully, all have been removed now.) It was not a pleasant time in my life. Then one wonderful day I was rescued by the great people at Advocates 4 Animals! I can't tell you how lucky I am and how great it feels to be indoors again- and to be LOVED! I have regular fresh food and clean water- I have soft comfortable beds to sleep in and I have people to love me as I patiently wait a home to call my very own!
Life will be purr-fect when I am adopted by someone who will be fur-ever committed to me and provide me with a lot of love and affection! I am dreaming of the day I am adopted! If you are interested in me, please contact Advocates 4 Animals right away and let them know you would like to adopt me- GARTH! I can't wait to meet you!
