Muffin's Story...
Meet Muffin! He's a 5 month old, Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix, who was attacked by a possum (you can see some remaining scars on his face) and that's why he has a shaved face and some of his neck to help him heal. Muffin is a very smart boy. He is up-to-date on all of his shots, and will be neutered before he is adopted. He is good with all people, and dogs. He is currently in a foster home, with cats, learning good doggie manners and adjusting to home life! If you are interested in adopting Muffin, please contact Lori Weise at the Downtown Dog Rescue at: DowntownDogRescue.org, or phone 818-407-4145.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Muffin, a Los Angeles Chihuahua/Pomeranian puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Pomeranian for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Chihuahua/Pomeranian puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Pomeranian breeders who help with Chihuahua/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
