Chumley--PETSMART's Story...
UPDATE--You can now meet Chumley in person at the Muncie PetSmart! Chumley is a great boy! He was born approximately in Nov. 2007. You may notice that his right rear leg is gone. We believe Chumley was hit by a car. When he was found, the leg was very badly broken and could not be repaired easily. Amputation was the only real way to try to make sure he could have a good life. He is adjusting very well and once his hair grows back, it will be very hard to tell that the leg is gone. He is able to jump up onto the ottoman or chair when he chooses and he is even beginning to play "normally" with the other cats and toys. He should adjust quickly to gentle children and dogs. Give this boy a chance at a great new home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chumley--PETSMART, a Muncie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Muncie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Muncie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muncie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muncie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muncie paves the way for another one to be saved.
