Muffin's Story...
Well, hello there! I’m Muffin… Shy, you ask? – A little, but I’m working on it… Are you shy because you were raised out on the reservation without a lot of socialization? – Well yes, but like I said – I’m working on it… In fact I really love people a lot and I am good with cats, pigs, goats, & horses! Sometimes other dogs frighten me, but I get over that once I get to know them… Did you get the name muffin because you’re sweet and soft like an oven fresh blueberry muffin? – You bet! But, since I’m feeling scared, older respectful children will be best… I say we should work together… I have a ton of potential, and with a little work and a little patience I’ll make a great family dog. Unwrap this muffin today! 2 years old-35lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; microchip, spay, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free vet exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Muffin, a Portland Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
