My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How many times have you seen a long-haired Rottweiler?? We bet not too often, but here is one that is just simply Stunning. The majority of people only know of the short-haired traditional ones.
A long-haired Rottie like Barry is hard to come by because they are very rare.
Barry was picked up by an Animal Control Officer and never claimed. He came into rescue shortly after that.
This beautiful, big boy is between 3 and 4 years at the most. He currently weighs around 105 lbs.
His foster family is working on his manners and he has learned several commands. He gets very excited when he sees his foster family coming to give him attention. He has learned how to sit and wait for treats and his leash training is going well. He has been on several outings and he draws a crowd everywhere he goes. Barry is a very smart boy and we love the way he tilts his head when he looks at you like he is listening to every word you say and trying to understand. His crate training is going well and he jumps right up into a vehicle when its time for an outing. Barry has a very playful personality, but he has mostly low to medium energy level especially after several minutes of tug-a-war or fetching balls. If there are children in the home of a family interested in him, we prefer them to be older due to Barry's size and strength.
Barry's foster mom will be happy to answer you have about this beautiful boy. Just contact us and we can put you in touch with her for further questions.

This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms.
