Sam's Story...
Hi my name is Sam and I'm a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua Mix. I'm approx. 3 years old and housebroken!! I'm also good with dogs, cats and kids! I love to be with my person and to be cuddled and held. I get attached and will follow you around like a shadow. Wherever you sit I want to jump in your lap!! I get attached to specific people very quickly and want to stay by their side all the time. I know "sit" and "move". I am pretty reward driven, but I really want to be a good boy. I can be a little nervous of some things, but am improving all the time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Calgary Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Calgary, or seeking a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Calgary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Calgary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Calgary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Calgary paves the way for another one to be saved.
