Roger Dodger's Story...
Roger is a 9 month old black male Great Dane. Roger Dodger was born on 8-22-03 and is soooo much a pup still at heart. His owners literally dumped him at our door, and after getting his vet records, it appears that Roger spent a lot of time being boarded. This boy is enjoying his freedom to play like a dog, and he is in heaven if he has other dogs to play with. Roger has a whole lot of growing to do and has the appetitie to prove it! He needs work on his attention span, but we believe once settled into a new home, he will blossom with love, attention and obedience school. Roger is fine with cats, but with his energy level, we do not recommend small kids. Roger really needs to have a playmate and a fenced yard is a huge plus, as he loves to romp and play. He is a sweet boy and silly, with a sense of humor. Roger is available for adoption and is located in IL. For more information, please email greatdanerescue@ameritech.net for further details. Roger is neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccines and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roger Dodger, a Steger Great Dane puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Steger, or seeking a Great Dane puppy from a breeder in Steger.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Steger already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Steger breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Steger paves the way for another one to be saved.
