My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Okay, here is yet another puppy from the notorious Cherokee County large, black, furry Casanova. Each week when we come into the shelter to take photos and videos, it never fails that we have a large, black, fluffy puppy to feature. So once again for your enjoyment, meet NOIR!

Noir is an adorable girl with all the potential in the world. Unfortunately, she came into the shelter COVERED in ticks. Her coat is lack luster and dull, but with proper care and nutrition, this little one could glow. We estimate Noir to be about 4 months old and already she weighs about 25 – 30 pounds. Noir is a sweetheart, and like any puppy, she’s ready to play. She loves other dogs and is still young enough to be properly introduced to cats.

Noir is going to make someone a great family dog. She will probably be a large adult who will need regular grooming and a fenced yard to play in. If you are interested in adopting this puppy, please hurry. Her time here at the shelter is extremely limited……

The animals at the shelter have five days to find a home. The Humane Society of Cherokee County, Inc., is the rescue and adoption agent for this shelter. We are trying to save as many animals as possible from this shelter by adoption. The $75 adoption fee includes all rabies, DHPP and bordatella vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, and heartworm test.

For a quick response and/or adoption appointment, email us at cherokeeshelter@gmail.com. The Cherokee County shelter is located in Gaffney, SC just a few minutes off I-85 and only about 20 miles northeast of Spartanburg, SC and about 50 miles southwest of Charlotte, NC.

We are very rescue-friendly and will work with reputable rescuers to get these animals to safety. Thank you for helping us to save the life of a homeless, unwanted, and soon to be killed, shelter animal!
