Shelby's Story...
S/F, 10 years, Poodle mix, 8 lbs

Hi there! I was rescued from a very busy street, then brought to MaxFund, where the nice people named me Shelby!
I’m not sure how long I was on the streets, but the people at MaxFund think I was neglected prior to being lost. I had infections in my ears, eyes and teeth, which made me feel pretty awful. I guess I looked pretty awful too! The nice veterinarians got me feeling all better, and a wonderful groomer made me beautiful again.

I’ve been through a lot, but now I’m ready to go to my new and forever home. I’m a quiet, mature, lady Poodle about 10 years young, and I weigh about 10 lbs. I’ve been in foster care for a while and I get along great with other dogs and cats. My sweet personality has blossomed, and I’m pretty much no longer afraid or shy. They call me a low maintenance girl.

I would love to be your sweet and loyal companion. Please contact my foster mom, Karen, at kcpets@creativec.us or 303 530-1609 to learn more about me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Denver Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Denver, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
