Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Max doesn't know he isn't like every other puppy. He wants the same things, some love, some good food and some exercise. He wants a home so badly. With most puppies we don't worry, plus they have their whole lives ahead of them, most likely Max won't have a long time to look forward to, we don't want to waste what he has being boarded in a veterinary hospital. He is good with other dogs and was respectful of a cat he met. There are no medical costs because sadly there is nothing that can be done for Max, it is a birth defect. His owners, probably breeders, dumped him in front of a high kill shelter in Bakersfield early in the morning before they opened. He was so alone and terrified. Fortunately we got a call, that a sad little guy needed our help. Now we need your help to find him a loving home to enjoy whatever time he has left. Vets say he is unchartered waters, they don't know what to expect. They are concerned about how his growth will affect his spine. Please contact us at info@sheprescue.org if you could provide Max with a long term foster home or a forever home whatever that may be!
