My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SAMSON a.k.a SAMMY: 2 1/2 yr old male, chocolate, 9-10lbs, docked tail, natural ears.

Our mission at IMPS is to improve the lives of homeless and abandoned Miniature Pinschers through rescue and the love and respect that comes with humane care, compassion and kindness. Late last year, we received a call from a kind vet about a MinPin that needed our help, and we were given the opportunity to improve the life of a great little dog named Samson.

Samson came to us after being hit by a car. As you can see by the picture, his leg was severely injured. His leg wasn’t broken, but it was badly damaged, and left untreated, it became necessary to amputate it. His owners could not afford to care for him so they turned him over to IMPS.

The surgery was completely successful, and didn’t slow this little guy down in the least – he was walking the day he came from the hospital, and he is still a playful little dog.

After healing from his surgery, Samson was brought up to date on all his shots and neutered, and he is now living in foster care until he finds that special place to call his forever home. He has endured a lot of hardship and still maintained a cheerful and playful spirit. He deserves a home that will love him and truly appreciate what a great little dog he is. Is that home with you?
