Caleb's Info...

I am good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Caleb's Story...
I am smart and playful, I get along with other dogs well and am not interested in chasing cats. I also love playing with kids. I am a heeler mix, so I like to stay close to my clan and have no problems being off leash. I do not like to be locked up in a kennel. Currently I live on a farm, where I sleep in the barn with the horses and during the day play with my pals in the yard and around the pasture. I love to go swimming in the creek and pond. I am looking for someone who is looking for a companion, a best friend, I am that kind of a dog, come meet me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Caleb, a Athens Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle for sale in Athens, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle dog from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
