Tom and his Beagle companion were sent to a high kill shelter in SC after their owner died and soon found themselves at the top of the euthansia list. Both dogs were in very neglected condition and really needed some TLC. Tom was promptly examined by a vet and that's when we learned he had heartworms.
Tom is doing well and his overall health has improved enormously through proper care and a healthy diet. He is now up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered, dewormed and microchipped. He has also been treated for heartworm and is expected to make a full recovery. He also had another visit to the vet for a much needed dental cleaning.
Tom is a happy-go-lucky senior that is friendly and affectionate. And he still has plenty of Beagle spunk! He truly seems to understand how fortunate he was to get a second chance. This lovable little guy is looking forward to finding the forever home he deserves, where he can spend his golden years being pampered and spoiled--just as it should be!
