Cloonie's Story...
Cloonie is certainly one of the biggest, most handsome boys we've seen in a long time. His light brown brindled coat and white-marked head, coupled with his prodigious size and strength make Cloonie an outstanding sight to behold. Although Cloonie may look a bit intimidating (who cropped those ears!?!?), he has the sweet, affection-loving personality that is characteristic of his breed. We will consider only the most experienced of dog handlers for Cloonie, for he needs to be managed with the right combination of skill and love. Volunteers have been walking Cloonie on the Gentle Leader@ leash and he has been doing great! If you are interested in meeting a sweet boy and have the demonstrated ability to work well with a dog of his size and strength, come in and meet this one-of-a-kind pooch.

Act quickly to adopt Cloonie. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cloonie, a Berkeley American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
