Leroy's Story...
Poor Leroy first came into rescue about two years ago as a stray from North of Columbus. Within a couple of weeks he was adopted by a very nice elderly lady who had recently lost her her four legged friend and had lost her zest for life. Her family wanted her to have someone to care for and take for walks. Leroy fit the bill to a "T". Unfortunately this wonderful lady has passed away. She was found with Leroy laying by her side. Leroy is now back in rescue in the hopes that he can fulfill a void in someone else's life and vice versa. He is estimated to be about 9 years old and has put on a few pounds but he is still a sweet loving boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leroy, a Columbus Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
