Hooch's Story...

Hooch a very loving 12 year old male who is not neutered. He's a senior dog with a big heart. Despite Hooch's age he loves to play and go for walks. He also is happy to sit quietly and cuddle, he has alot of love to give. Tragedy has struck my family and it has even affected the family pet. My sister Karen died April 28th suddenly at the age of 51. Her husband would love to keep their pets but can't due to the fact that he is physically disabled. Karen has always had a special place in her heart for stary animals, one of her wishs to her family was that her pets would not be put to death if she was to pass. Karen dealt with several serious illnesses in her life so she planed ahead, even for her beloved pets. Hooch is in desprate need of a home. He is AKC registered, he's black and white, very well behaved, has all of his papers, and his shots are up to date. I'm looking to place Karen's faithful friend with a happy , healthy, loving home, he would be a great addition to any family he gets along well with other dogs and cats. My hope is to make the horrible loss of my sister into a blessing for Hooch by honoring Karen's last wishes. Can you help?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hooch, a Avon Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Avon, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Avon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Avon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Avon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Avon paves the way for another one to be saved.
