Conner's Story...
Hi there, my name is Conner. I was rescued from PACC, and am currently living with a foster family that has 2 kids (ages 8 and 11) and 3 and sometimes 4 cattle dogs. I really enjoy playing and practicing some herding techniques on the youngest dog. You might like to know that I can use the doggy door. At first, I thought it was something after me and would kind of attack it, but now I get it!! I am still a puppy and don't always put together that the doggy door is where I should go to when I have to do my business. But, I am getting better every day!! I like to sit by you just in case there's a reward coming; I know nothing in life is free, especially for cattle dogs. Other things that I am practicing are to shake, leave it, release, and go down. "Shake" is easiest for me (after "sit") since when I sit for some things I get a little excited and my front feet kind of dance and my feet go up. I do have a little bad habit of relocating shoes; my stash behind the couch got found. I haven't damaged any yet; I usually listen to the "leave it" command. Anyway, I would love my own forever home, and will be waiting patiently for my family to find me. I will be a wonderful addition to any family. I'm one smart cookie!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Conner, a Phoenix Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
