Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BOBBY (ID# A013275) is a neutered male, tan and white Chihuahua. The shelter staff think he is about 5 years old. BOBBY was very shy and nervous when he first arrived at the shelter, but he has really blossomed under the attention of our volunteers. Once he gets to know you he will sit on your lap and even give kisses! He likes to go for walks and is good on leash. He could be a very loyal companion for a gentle, patient person. If you have a quiet home and are looking for a smaller dog, come to our shelter and meet Bobby.
Starting the adoption process you need to be 18 years or older, complete an application http://www.petprojectfoundation.org/dogadoption.pdf, be interviewed and it is strongly recommend all members of your household and any dogs you have at home must be brought in to socialize with the dog you wish to adopt in our play yard, to make the best match for everyone, and be able to verify with your landlord that you may have a pet if you are renting. Understand we reserve the right to deny the adoption of any pet for any reason. Also any additional requirements for the specific pet you are interested in adopting needs to be met. We adopt to the best home, not necessarily the first application turned in.
Applications are only accepted by FAX (949-366-4765), mail or in person. Sorry, no applications through the Internet.
Dog adoptions are $100 and include a spay or neuter, microchip, current shots, flea treatment if required, "New Owner" folder packed full of helpful information, and one free basic health examination within 5 days of adoption from a veterinarian on our list.
