Lucy's Story...
Lucy is a rescued dog who needs a new family due to changes in their circumstances and housing. She is about 3 years old and is a 33 pound shepherd/beagle mix. Lucy is wonderful with kids and lives with a family who does in home day care. She is tolerant of even the roughest of the kids and will let them know in a nice way when she has had enough. Lucy is very friendly and playful with the neighboring dogs but hasn't been around cats. She is well house trained and goes to the door and whines when she needs to go out. Lucy's activity level is moderate and enjoys lying around in the sun though she can be playful too. She also walks well on the leash and she behaves very well and doesn't need to be crated--being in a crate makes her nervous. Lucy is with a 501c3 non profit rescue. Her $200 adoption fee covers her spay, heartworm test and pill, shots, worming, heartworm test and pill and HomeAgain microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Osseo Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Osseo, or seeking a Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Osseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Osseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Osseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Osseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
