Hi, my name is Benjee. I am a very sweet 1 ½ year old Chihuahua/Terrier mix and weigh about 10 pounds. I like all kinds of people (adults and gentle older children), other dogs and cats too! I have been neutered, received all of my vaccinations and microchip, and am taking monthly heart worm and flea preventives.
I enjoy cuddle time, a game of tug-of-war, riding in the car and play-fighting with my foster sisters. I let myself out the doggie door to potty, lie in the sun, explore the yard and taunt the lizards and squirrels. I am playful yet have a quiet demeanor, and only bark to signal that someone is at the front door. My foster mom says that I have the most engaging personality and expressive eyes. I give kisses when she tweaks my ears and pets my head.
Now that you love me already, I have to share one more thing. My foster mom found me in the shelter with no time to spare. I was in pain with a severely broken rear leg and there was no medical attention or space for me - gulp! Mom immediately took me to the vet where it was determined that for my future well-being, I would be better off without that darn mangled leg. Now I have three good legs that get me around just fine, thank you very much. Nothing holds me back and you’d never know I was missing a leg unless you did a double-take.
Mom says that despite all I have been through, I am most endearing boy she has ever met and absolutely perfect. She says that the only other thing I am missing is my forever home. So I am wishing on a star for a family to love me exactly the way I am. A doggie friend my age and size would be terrific too. I’ll come with kisses, tail wags, devotion and a promise to put joy in your heart and a big smile on your face every single day!
