Chelsea's Story...
Meet the Chelsea girl! She is quite the beautiful dog whose pictures do not do her justice! Chelsea has a lovely temperament and while she has already been a mom, we very much suspect that she not much older than a year of age!! She loves to play and is just a sweetie, waiting for someone to give her back her puppyhood! Chelsea is a gentle girl who just loves to cuddle! She will be a perfect addition to a home with dog loving children.

Chelsea was introduced to a big, grumpy cat and we learned very quickly that she is very respectful/ somewhat afraid/somewhat curious of cats. She will get along well with other dogs if given a slow introduction, but would do just fine as an only dog as well. She is fairly submissive in her relationship with the other dogs in her foster home.

Chelsea loves to go for walks, but sometimes wants to run toward moving vehicles. This means that Chelsea needs a home with a secure fence in order to keep her safe.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chelsea, a Saskatoon Belgian Tervuren/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Belgian Tervuren/Collie for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Belgian Tervuren/Collie dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Belgian Tervuren/Collie breeders who help with Belgian Tervuren/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
