George's Story...
Hello! It's me, your new friend, George! I was told that if I wrote down a few thoughts regarding myself here, that it would be posted on the World Wide Web for all to see! With that in mind, I'd like a home, please! I am about 10 months old old and was found wandering around by my lonesome without any ID. I hope my next family will get me a collar and some identification so I don't encounter THAT problem again! I'm not too big (about 40 pounds), so that's good if you're thinking you don't have a lot of space in the house for a canine companion. I swear, I won't eat much, either! I am quite snuggly and shy. As you can see in my pictures, I feel safer when I hide behind things or lean against someone. I was just neutered, updated on my vaccines and microchipped. Please, oh, please, stop by to meet me, won't you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Huntingdon German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Huntingdon, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Huntingdon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntingdon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntingdon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntingdon paves the way for another one to be saved.
