My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1 year old, black and rust female; 9.2 lbs, docked tail, natural ears. Spayed, microchipped, shots up to date, heartworm negative and on preventative.

“Hi! My name is Pixie! Guess what I did? I was lost and hungry so when I smelled the delectable odor of bacon frying, I followed that scent. Ah, the smell got stronger so I started moving faster. Imagine my surprise when the scent led to an open kitchen door! Well, I was REALLY hungry so I just trotted right in for my prize! Imagine how surprised the nice family was when they turned around and found me in their kitchen with my tail wagging and my butt twisting. Being cute works wonders! I got a plate of bacon and eggs with a slice of toast. Yummy!”

Pixie tells a nice story but it was really surprising for the family who found her in their kitchen. They were afraid she would be killed by their very large non-friendly dog. Lucky for Pixie they intervened before the two met – after breakfast of course! Pixie must have a guardian angel looking out for her. She was very thin so she must have been lost for at least a week. Making it a week in the countryside without encountering coyotes is amazing! This brave little girl needs a real home of her own!

Update: Pixie has taken to her new life with Gusto! She romps and plays and enjoys life like a young pup should.

Note: Pixie is located in Murfreesboro, TN.
