Merle's Story...
Merle is a 1-year-old great dane. Merle was an owner surrender when his previous parents were no longer able to care for him. Merle is neutered, heartworm negative, up-to-date on his shots, and microchipped. He is crate trained and gets along great with other dogs. Merle is on the smaller side for a great dane; one, because of his age; and two, he appears to be the runt of the litter. He is too cute, sweet, and goofy. Merle understands basic commands. Please email rescuemeproject@yahoo.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Merle, a Atlanta Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
