Arrival story: Initially Brit came to Waggin' Tails as a stray from a local shelter. Sadly, her family decided to give her up when she nipped at neighborhood kid riding a bike too close while she was on a leash.
Age / Weight: 3 years old and approx 20lbs
Personality: Brit just arrived at her new foster home and is settling in nicely. It's like she's always been here. She's made quick pals with the two resident dogs and they are showing her the ropes and where the good sniffs are in the backyard. We'll post more about this little cutie once we get to know her better.
Forever home: We'd like to get to know more about Brit before deciding what type of home is best for her, however, we do know that a quieter household without children is ideal for this girl.

To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@wowway.com.
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175, $275 for small breed dogs or $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check

With few exceptions, we show our adoptable animals on Saturdays from 12pm - 3pm at PetSmart in Northville (on Haggerty Rd between 6 and 7 mile) or PetSmart in Canton (the northwest corner of Ford Rd and Haggerty Rd). Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
